Alternative provision
Our Alternative Provision provides children and young people aged 8+ with a different way to access education when a traditional school environment may feel challenging or overwhelming. This can include young people experiencing social anxiety, sensory overwhelm or emotionally based school avoidance.
practical. purposeful. positive.
Sessions are usually delivered 1:1 and tailored around each young person’s needs and desired outcomes. Regular engagement in a supportive educational setting provides structure and routine, while creating opportunities to gradually rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning and make progress at an individual pace.

Learning takes place outdoors through practical, hands-on activities, which may include working with horses, horse care and management, gardening and other outdoor activities. Numeracy, literacy and science can be incorporated into these real-life experiences, helping young people see how learning applies beyond the classroom.
