Children & young people
Individualised Support from 8+years
K., Wellbeing Team Leader
"The sessions are great because they allow the young people to have a live experience where they can practice emotional regulation or communication skills in the moment. The horse acts as a mirror, reflecting emotions back to the young person. The horse is able to teach the young person what is needed in a gentle and non-judgmental way that feels safe to explore. "
K., Father
“My daughter really enjoyed going to HorseWorks. I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in their anger management and her ability to understand her emotions rather than lashing out at others. She seems to have a greater understanding of herself and is more patient and tolerant.
R., Young Person
“I’ve learned to take more steps towards things I’m unsure about. HorseWorks has helped me feel more confident about trying things that are outside my comfort zone.”
